There are a lot of things to see in Donoussa, like the spring in Mersini, fokospilia (a seal cave) and the old mines. But what makes Donoussa a perfect place for summer holidays are the superb beaches with the white sand and the crystal-clear water. The beaches of Stavros, Kerdos, Livadi and Kalotaritissa are some of them. You can reach them by car or on foot following the traditional paths.
As far as the food and entertainment is concerned, there are traditional taverns, coffee bars, a bakery, two mini-markets, a souvenir shop and newsagent at Stavros. At Kerdos beach there is a snack bar. At Mersini village there are two taverns with an amazing view and in Kalotaritissa there is only one tavern.
Three festivals take place every summer: On 15 August, on 13 September (Patron of the island)  and on 17 September, offering visitors traditional food, music and dance.
